‘Mummy Man’ was Stored in a Bear’s Den For a Month

WARNING — GRUESOME IMAGES BELOW!

Here’s one for the “Yikes!” department: A severely-emaciated-but-still-living man was reportedly discovered inside a bear’s den, having been attacked by the bear and dragged into its lair, presumably to be eaten at a later date.

It’s a story that’s difficult to confirm — reports vary as far as location — and probably contains errors, but the images are quite arresting. Be aware that as you scroll down, the photos become more gruesome.

The man is said to only remember his first name (Alexander) and not much else.

A group of local hunters found Alexander after their dogs refused to leave the area of the den.

Their persistent barking pushed the hunters to check inside the lair, where they found a barely-alive man. He was rushed to the local hospital and has been diagnosed with a broken spine and severe emaciation.

Alexander remembers his first name but not his age, and was reportedly in the den for around one month, drinking urine to survive.

He is now in the intenstive care with multiple injuries and rotting skin.

He can move his arms, local hospital doctors said.

The article mentions a video in which the man opens his blue eyes and responds to his name.

It is as yet unclear if he was a hunter, too, and how his encounter with the bear happened.

He managed to explain that he was attacked and dragged inside the den when he broke his spine.

The attack happened approximately a month ago, Alexander said.

‘The bear preserved me as food for later,’ he explained.

A video filmed inside the local hospital shows that the man turned into a ‘speaking mummy’ with his tissues rotting after lying motionless for so long.

Local medics say they cannot explain how the man survived such injuries.

Stories about this “bear man” were apparently reported in at least two major Russian news outlets, but actual facts seem scarce. Either way, it’s about as creepy a story as you’re likely to find about a victim of a wild animal attack.

Here’s the short video — use discretion because this guy is in very bad shape.

I sure hope Alexander can heal up and recover some quality of life again.
